We decided early on to be part of this project with GP Adventures LLC. We wanted to find a way to give back to gamers and support the “Do It Yourself” ethos that makes the gaming community such a vibrant, creative and dynamic landscape to behold. We wanted to thank our fans, and gamers beyond, for their terrific support over the past few months. This was the perfect opportunity to kill several birds with one stone, and we jumped on it eagerly.
Now, the maps and key of Hex 15/12 are can be downloaded here.
If you’d rather get a complete PDF, with maps and key included in a single digital format, click this link instead.
The Stone Alignments of Kor Nak present a very small sandbox, the size of a standard 6-mile wide hex you can insert in any setting of your choice. Several landmarks of the surface are thoroughly described in a loose, toolbox, inspirational manner, along with its main features and inhabitants, accompanying wandering monsters table, and the like. A sample Underworld map closes the hex’s description for those who would expand on the surface and use it as the top of an underground complex spanning one or several levels.
Where stats and other mechanical details were needed, the Landing’s default of a Swords & Wizardry Complete Rules format was applied, which makes the entire hex readily compatible with 0e, 1e, and most other versions of the World’s Premier Role-Playing Game. You can download these free rules here. It includes subtle nods to other games, such as the excellent Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea we really can’t laud enough.
The hex could very easily be used with other tabletop-roleplaying games, fantasy and otherwise.
We hope you enjoy the material. Thank you for your support, one and all.
